After hurting my ankle on Monday, I ran today with the intention of going 6 miles very easy. I thought my ankle was better but I was terribly wrong. At just after 2 miles, it started hurting again and I decided I'd better turn around. About a mile from home, the pain was so sharp that I started walking and limping. I limped the entire mile home and couldn't run again, although I tried. I feel just like I did on Monday night and I can hardly walk. I'm guessing that I have strained it and it looks like that's about a 3 week recovery. I'm not very happy about it. I don't want to take 3 weeks off just as I was really starting to train. What a bummer! |
